Effective Home Remedies for Yeast Infections Part 2

yeast infection home remedyContinuing from where I left off in Part 1,  for those who want to try even more home remedies for a yeast infection, here we go!  A reminder again, that when in doubt, consult with your medical practitioner first before experimentation with a home cure for candida.

The Fifth Yeast Infection Home Remedy is the apple cider vinegar douching remedy.  The recipe consists of adding two tablespoons of cider vinegar to a quart, or a litre of water, and douching daily until you are cured.

The Sixth Home Remedy For Yeast Infections is also for douching, and this time it is with a 3% hydrogen peroxide and water mix. Add one teaspoon of the hydrogen peroxide to one cup of water, and use daily until you get rid of all Candida overgrowth symptoms. The idea with these acidic douches is to rebalance the pH level from alkaline, where the Candida albicans fungi flourish, to a balanced acidic pH level, where the fungi cannot survive. Keep in mind that douching is not recommended for regular use when you don’t have a yeast infection.

If you don’t mind the smell of garlic coming from an unexpected part of your body, and if you are not allergic to it, you can join many other yeast infection sufferers who have tried this yeast infection home remedy with success. The antifungal properties of garlic kill off the yeast.

So, the Seventh Home Remedy For Yeast Infections goes like this: you have to peel a fresh clove of garlic, and insert it into the vagina. Don’t ask me how, I’m not going to try this – use your ingenuity! – maybe your fingers? I’m sure there must be other ways too.  But I love garlic in food, so I’ll just up the quantity I eat, or get dried garlic in soft capsules from my local health shop, which I suggest you do as well.

There are many more yeast infection home remedies, but I’d like to remind you of a couple of important things when you have yeast infections:

  • It’s better to wear lose clothing that doesn’t retrict the air flow around the vaginal region, as warm and moist conditions are ideal for yeast to grow and multiply.  It is preferable also to use unscented laundry detergents, deodorants, shower gels and soaps.
  • sugar helps the yeast to grow, so use refined sugar sparingly, which includes the cookies and chocolates!, as well as limiting your consumption of alcohol.

You can mix and match and try out the above effective home remedies for yeast infections that I’ve given you in the last article and this one, but if you want to skip the experimentation period, and save time and pain, you can get all  the information, and cures for yeast infections that you need immediately.
